Dhaka, March 14 : Four people, including two Chinese nationals, were injured after a part of launching girder of the Bus Rapid Transit project collapsed near the Dhaka airport on Sunday.
The identities of the injured persons have not been ascertained yet.
Shortly after the accident, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the trapped people and sent them to hospitals, Shafikul Islam, an official of Kurmitola Fire Service Station, told IANS.

A thana-level leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League was hacked to death in Singair upazila of Manikganj early yesterday.
The deceased is Faruk Hossian Miru, general secretary of Singair unit of BCL.
Faruk, a former vice president of Singair Government College BCL, was heading home on a motorcycle after attending a programme around 1:00am when a group of at least eight youths attacked him, leaving him critically injured, said Shahidur Rahman, joint secretary of Singair Upazila unit Awami League.
He was rushed to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Dhaka where he breathed his last around 1:00pm yesterday.

A woman and her grandchild were killed and two other family members were injured after a truck hit their auto-rickshaw in Dhaka s Rupnagar area this morning.
The deceased are Salma Begum (55), and Rinta Akter (11). Both arrived in Dhaka from Rangpur s Kaliganj upazila three days ago to visit family members.
The accident happened around 6:00am when Salma, Rinta, her elder sister Alina Jahan Rima (13) were heading towards Ashulia on the auto-rickshaw driven by the children s uncle Sohel Rana Salek.
As the auto-rickshaw reached near Pump House area on Rupnagar Beribandh, a truck hit the vehicle, leaving Rinta dead on the spot, said Lokman Hossain, a sub-inspector of Rupnagar Police Station.
Medical test for AS in 39th BCS begins on Jan 16

DHAKA, Jan 3, 2021 (BSS) – The schedule of health check-up of the 2,000 candidates for the post of Assistant Surgeon (AS) recommended by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) based on their results in the 39th BCS (Special) 2018 has been announced today.
The health check-up will start from January 16 and will continue till January 21.
The tests will be done at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital, Mugda Medical College Hospital and National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH), said a press release.
