ukrainian forces firing back or russian troops. we understand there were attacks on the outskirts north and south of the capital. a hotel, a key hotel in a suburb outside of kyiv was damaged. we do also, of course, have those evacuations, those are crucial. 13 humanitarian corridors being opened today. key among them is the city of mariupol. now, this is a city that s been besieged. it s the sigte of that terrible bombing on a maternity ward several days ago. a humanitarian convoy is on its way to mariupol led by orthodox priests carrying food and supplies that that city has been cut off from. but this is the sixth time authorities tried to get help into mariupol. the ukrainians say russian troops have every time stalled those efforts. there s real hopes and real fears that that convoy would not make it today.
