Belarus Bellegprom extends reach into 52 markets

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom shipped its products to 52 countries in 2020, BelTA learned from Bellegprom s press service.
The board of Bellegprom convened on 5 February to take stock of the performance of the concern in 2020. “Companies affiliated with Bellegprom produced $649.9 million worth of goods in 2020, 59.5% of which was shipped to 52 foreign markets,” the press service said.
Bellegprom annually posts a foreign trade surplus. In 2020, the surplus reached $170.9 million. In Q4, the output of Bellegprom companies grew 1.5 times and export almost doubled over Q2.
Bellegprom boosted export to Lithuania (128.7% year-on-year), Germany (104.6%), Estonia (115.3%), Japan (296.2%), Uzbekistan (107.3%), Sweden (102.8%), Bulgaria (158.2%), Slovakia (176.2%), Czechia (115.8%), Israel (129.4%), Denmark (360.3%), Australia (361.2%), and Austria (261.5%).
Belarusian light industry to tap into market of Russian Smolensk Oblast
MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom is looking to start supplies to Smolensk Oblast of Russia, BelTA learned from Bellegprom s Telegram channel.
“Bellegprom s representatives held a meeting with officials of the Russian regional administration. Smolensk Oblast Vice Governor Aleksei Streltsov hailed active efforts of the parties to develop ties between economic entities, to promote cooperation in training and retraining of personnel. He also noted mutual interest in the development of cooperation between OOO Russian Linen and Orsha Linen Mill,” Bellegprom said.
The parties agreed to explore the possibility of supplying flax yarn and cottonized flax fiber made by OOO Russian Linen to Belarusian enterprises and opening a Belarusian Linen store and wholesale warehouse in Smolensk Oblast, to organize a visit of Russian colleagues to Orsha linen Mill.
