Overnight on Sunday, the A13 eastbound exit slip road will also be closed. Road users are asked to plan their journey in advance to avoid the area and find alternative routes. The work is part of the A13 Road Widening Project. The project includes widening the road between Stanford-le-Hope and Orsett, replacing 4 bridges and installing traffic lights at the Orsett Roundabout to help manage vehicle flows. When complete, the widened section will join with the existing three-lane section of the A13, west of the A128, providing a continuous three-lane road in both directions between the M25 and Stanford-le-Hope.
