Two Halton schools lost £50k when lettings firm collapsed HALTON schools lost more than £50,000 when a facilities lettings company collapsed last year, the LDRS can reveal. School Lettings Solutions (SLS), which arranged the rental of school facilities to sports teams and community groups, went into administration last year owing hundreds of schools a total of more than £4m in unpaid hiring fees. Ormiston Chadwick in Widnes lost more than £40,000 and The Heath in Runcorn more than £7,000. Seventeen schools in the Liverpool City Region were owed a total of £217,982, money that would have been spent on school trips, books and other important supplies.
