The City of Galesburg's website is getting a makeover and a survey is now available for residents to give some information on how they use the site. Information Systems Supervisor Orlee Lucero says they want to make it as "user friendly" of an experience as possible. He says the survey helps reach out to the public to ensure the site is organized in a way that matches with residents' priorities. Examples he gives include; categories of information, navigation of the site, and overall user experience. The short survey will be available until Mar. 9. Galesburg Aldermen approved the redevelopment of the website in November. It's anticipated the new website will be launched sometime this summer. The contract that the council approved was for Revize, a Michigan company that has won awards and primarily builds municipal websites. Revize was the lowest and best bid at $29,000.
