Country musics grand old opery. Today we are at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown nashville, tennessee. The nickname of the Ryman Auditorium was the Mother Church of Country Music, which definitely tells the history of both things that it is famous for. It was built by a river boat captain who was famously converted under a tent in downtown nashville in may of 1865, and after his conversion, he believed that traveling ministers should have a permanent home inside that was large enough to take the large crowds of the traveling ministers who came to town. Captain ryman built the Ryman Auditorium and it opened at first in 1892 as a tabernacle. That is the church part of the history. The music part of the history, the Country Music part deals with the grand ole opry, which came here in 1943 after being in many different homes in nashville and stayed here until 1974 when the new opry house was built. They had they come from a family that was very active in the Baptist Community in New Hampshire and it taught them how to sing and how to read music. Music is a little bit problematic in rural new england at the time, right. Its dangerous. People who are musicians are seen as immoral perhaps in some way. The Church Provides a moral space for people to be able to sing because theyre singing the word of god and the hutchinson family as a whole is active in the Musical Community in New Hampshire through the baptist church. One of their brothers is the choir director of the church and provides Music Lessons for the community. The hutchinsons try to run with that in lynn and get this idea maybe we could become a performing troupe. Now to a heartbreaking family tragedy at a North Carolina beach. A wave hit a 37yearold father of six as he was playing with his children. The wave knocked him down, breaking his neck and killing him. Heres abcs gio benitez. Reporter he was a father to six children and a family is in mourning after a freak accident. You feel such overwhelming sorrow and grief for their family. Reporter lee dingell was in oak island beach in North Carolina, in Shallow Water playing with his kids, when he got hit by a wave. The force knocking him down so hard he broke his neck. His wife shannon posting on twitter that his own kids tried to save him but he did not survive. The dingells have two biological children and four adopted. His friends remembering a caring man. He saw each child for who they were uniquely and supported
