Orlando Police Lt. Clayton was killed in 2017 outside an Orlando Walmart as she tried to arrest Loyd for killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon.
"Lieutenant [Debra] Clayton impacted the lives of those around her throughout the City of Orlando," the Orlando Police Department said after the death sentence was handed down on her killer Thursday.
