An Tain Arts Centre has organised an exciting collaboration between visual artist Orlaith Cullinane and their dance artist in residence from last year, Fiona Keenan - O Brien. Motion Marks sees Orlaith making life drawings of Fiona as she moves with the aim of having the images eventually be painted onto large flags and installed to fly at Dundalk town centre locations.
Orlaith, who is a member of Bridge Street Studios, had been busy filling sketchbooks with quickly captured images of Fiona before the current Level 5 lockdown. Basically the project is part of An Táin s Off Site programme for 2021, says Orlaith. This sees it taking art out of the building and into the town centre.
