Asda urgently recalls packs of its own brand chargrilled chicken breasts over salmonella fears

Salmonella can be harmful and symptoms usually include diarrhoea, fever and abdominal cramps. The Food Standards Agency advised any customers who may have the product with a best before date of September 5, 2022, to not eat it.  The alert confirmed there are no other Asda products known to be affected. The Food Standards Agency advised anyone with the product to return it to the store to get a refund  Asda will display point of sale notices in all stores selling the product, explaining to customers why it s being recalled and what they should do if they have already bought some. A spokesperson for Asda said: Please return it to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.
