Detectives from Taskforce Maxima investigating the alleged supply and possession of illicit drugs by associates of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have arrested two men on drug related offences following the execution of search warrants on Brisbane’s southside on Friday (April 23).
Police searches of three addresses in Norman Park (Wynnum Road), Coorparoo (Eight Avenue) and Browns Plains (Wembly Road) allegedly uncovered cocaine, cannabis, steroids, prescription medication and drug utensils. Officers also seized approximately 20 mobile phones and around $103,000 in cash.
A 33-year-old Norman Park man has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs (cannabis) and possession property suspected of being used in the commission of a drug offence. He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 28.

Police lay drug trafficking charges at Brisbane 12 March
Two men, with links to the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning following a protracted operation by the Organised Crime Gangs Group.
Yesterday detectives executed search warrants at Loganlea, Aspley and Deagon addresses and arrested two men allegedly involved in drug trafficking.
This is a result of ongoing investigations relating to a two-kilogram seizure of methylamphetamine from inner city apartments in January 2021, in which the same 30-year-old man was arrested and charged.
A 30-year-old man from Loganlea was charged with trafficking a dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug and breach of bail.
A planned Cross Border Joint Agency Task Force Operation which was aimed at tackling rural crime was conducted along border counties last week.
The operation included collaboration and cooperation with the PSNI and the Garda North Western Regional Armed Support Unit, the Garda Air Support Unit, regular Policing Units, Detective Branches, and roads policing units from the Louth, Cavan/Monaghan, Sligo/Leitrim, and Donegal divisions.
The operation focused on a range of offences including drink driving and drugs possessions, and saw a number of arrests made on both sides of the border
A garda spokesman explained: This specific day of action spanned the entire border area concentrating on cross border burglaries and organised crime gangs that use the border corridor to facilitate their criminal activity.
