Musicians meet on common ground in latest Bluegrass at the Crossroads release

  Article Contributed by The Regime | Published on Friday, April 30, 2021 Andy Falco, guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer, and one-fifth of the GRAMMY award-winning bluegrass quintet, The Infamous Stringdusters, is very excited to announce the release of a new single, his first in over 10 years, “Merriam Special.” The track is the latest song to be released by the Dusters-anchored Americana Vibes. “Back when I got into bluegrass music, that’s when I met my friend Buddy Merriam,” shared Falco. “Buddy is a mandolin player who used to be connected to Bill Monroe. In honor of Monroe, Buddy wrote a tune called ‘Monroe’s Special’ that we used to play together back in the day. And in honor of Buddy, I went ahead and wrote this traditional bluegrass tune called ‘Merriam Special’ that pays tribute to my old friend, Buddy. I play mandolin and guitar, and by brother Patrick is featured on bass.
