Usually when you see blood it is a cause for alarm and apprehension. That was not the case last Sunday at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale where people donated more than 100 pints of blood by the end of the day.
The tribute event opened with TED lectures by IDF wounded Oren Blitzblau and Dana Pinchasov, continued with a lecture by the poet Shimrit Orr, author of the song “Hallelujah."

OrCam, the Jerusalem-based company known for its game-changing AI artificial vision and hearing devices that assist the visually and hearing impaired, has been named a “Best of Innovation” honoree in the accessibility category by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) for its OrCam Read digital reader.
The company, headed by the founders of Mobileye, nabbed the award ahead of the first all-digital CES 2021 event, the annual trade show organized by the CTA where the biggest brands and global innovators in the consumer electronics industry gather to showcase breakthrough technologies, which takes place next month.
