Oregon OSHA is encouraging all employers and workers in the state to recognize their “successes in cultivating safe and healthy workplaces” during the agency’s 21st annual Safety Break for Oregon.
SB 592 would create significant changes to Oregon Safe Employment Act like allowing comprehensive inspection of any place of employment deemed necessary based on violation history, broadening investigative parameters for work related fatalities, increasing civil penalties.
Oregon OSHA suspended rules addressing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency and Amended Work Clothing Rules via Oregon OSHA Administrative Order 1-2023. COVID-19 rules have been temporarily suspended until Oregon OSHA implements permanent rulemaking process.
