Sunshine for st. Pete looking east of the bay and looks good. Temperatures look warm, obviously. Were at 74 in brooksville and near 80 in tampa and its 80 in st. Pete. Factor in all the steep moisture and it feels like the mid80s in spots. A little low cloud cover in eastern pasco, eastern citrus, but follow has much improved this morning. Got a couple of showers paralleling our coast and moving away from the region. A sign that moisture is building to our west and to our east, but whats overhead is some drier so what that means is another day with only a 30 period of time rain chance between 4 00 and 8 00. 93 is within a few degrees of record heat today, but less heat and more rain this work week. A busy week ahead, and i have that forecast coming up. Alcides we said this earlier. Its hard to believe its been 15 years since the deadliest terror attacks on u. S. Soil. Anjuli september 11, 2001. Most people remember where they flown into the World Trade Center in new york city. At 8 46
Do that. I can make any particular specific comments about plans are actually think i think those are the things to look out to better understand whats going on. What i can say, in 2015, employerbased insurance and marketplace insurance were very different when it came to apply the deductible to Prescription Drugs benefits. Employerbased insurance, less than 10 applied. Marketplace insurance, i think the majority of plans may be as much as 70 you have to meet a deductible. For some of the tiers at least before you received Prescription Drug benefits. And so postaca all of you know theres a requirement that you cant discriminate in benefits, and we jointly with sister agencies including the insurance regulators and folks from the Health Department looked at the tiers on the formulary and with help of outside researchers there was a pattern that evolved that certain hiv drugs are classified in the highest out of pocket tiers, and based on that we thought it was discriminatory benefit des
About this report is what it shows us is weve got a whole lot more work to do so that we can confront this threat and hopefully we know our committee has come together in a bipartisan fashion but this is an issue that should have no party lines because this is an American Issue were talking about safety to our people and hopefully we can convince the rest of our colleagues to move Forward Together to confront this crisis. Thank you congressman vela. The chair recognizes mr. Hurd from texas. Thank you chairman and Ranking Member thompson, the chairman katko, that was pleasure working alongside of you. I spent almost over nine years as an undercover officer in the cia. I was the guy in the back alleys chasing al qaeda and the taliban and having seen enemies like that up close and personal and seeing what isis has evolved into is scary. There are clear and present danger to the United States and we need to do everything we can to stop them in their tracks. One of the shocking things for m
Director of covered california which is my States Health insurance marketplace which has helped connect so many of my constituents with Health Insurance. You know, california made a conscious decision to be an active player with the Affordable Care act imminimum meantation. There have been efforts to make california a leader. We have cut our states uninsurance rate by 28 . Pretty remarkable in my opinion. California shows that when a state is invested and buys into the stakes of the Affordable Care act, prices can be held under control, quality plans can be made available for purchasers. I look forward to hearing how covered california could serve as a role model for states looking to get the best value for their residents while promoting highquality care. And ill yield back to the Ranking Member. Thank you, gentle lady. I know we asked for u nnanimous be entered into the record. The committee is holding an investigative hearing and has a practice of taking testimony under oath. Do any
For the summer, which sounds like beast barracks meets sleepaway camp. Sound advice with a little irish charm runs in the dempsey family. Over the decades that followed he patrolled the iron curtain, commanded divisions on desert battlefields, and led americas soldiers. And more than a few times he burst into song. And over these last four years martys wisdom, his vision, and his character have helped lead the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. Secretary carter, deputy secretary work, members of congress and the joint chiefs, Service Secretaries, men and women of the defense department, our armed forces and our military families, it is a deep honor to join you as we pay tribute to a singular leader for our military and our nation and one of the finest men that i know, general martin dempsey. A little over four years ago i tapped marty to serve as chief of staff of the army. We let him enjoy it for one day. Then i asked him to be chairman. So, let me say, marty, and more
