Theres way too much poaching going on. Reporter in San Franciscos chinatown we found several is Stores Selling ivory. The owners say theyre selling it legally because it was made before the 1989 global ban on elephant ivory imports. And where is that ivory from . Reporter an investigation found San Francisco is the second largest market in the country for ivory trinkets. It should have been stopped a long time ago. Chopper 5 over the Mission District just before 10 00 this morning. A call came in for a suspicious odor in a building on valencia near 26th street. 120 people evacuated from the building. The its not clear in fact situation 120 people evacuated from the building. Salvation army is in the area. Its not clear if the situation has evacuated them, as well. A short time ago, the Sheriffs Department released a photo of a third person they want to talk to in the killing of steve carter. He was found shot to death monday night on a trail west of fairfax not far from sir Francis Drake boulevard. Dozens of investigators have been searching for clues in the area. The Sheriffs Department hopes surveillance camera will generate more leads. The two men and a woman are considered persons of interest in the case. Reporter that whole thing started when officers got a call around about a car burglary in this neighborhood near that intersection of mirabella and coso, when officers got unseen, one officer got out of his car to look for the suspect when the suspect drove into the officer pinning him with the car. He tried to maneuver out of the area but another police car showed up in the suspect ended up hitting that car in an effort to get away. He felt and officers arrested him without incident. Police say there may have been to other people involved, they were detained from this area. But as you can see behind me, mirabella avenue, very difficult to get around here, a pretty narrow street. As for the officer who was injured, we are told he sustained injuries to his leg as well as may have suffered broken ribs but is going to be okay and in stable condition. Saunders had access the that database and had no lawful reason to do so. Reporter mr. Saunders is being charged with several misdemeanor charges as a result of this arrest today. The other deputy that was placed under arrest is mark navaretti accused of felonies arising out of a workers comp. Claim. Apparently he had injured himself playing softball and tried to claim that he injured himself on the job. He had been under investigation for months.
