Local Organizations Benefit From Murdock Grants Details Published: 29 April 2021
Three local organizations have received significant grants totaling $917,000 in 2021 from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust The Trust, established in 1975 and named for the co-founder of Oregon-based Textronics announced the winter grants on Thursday.
The Cannon Beach Conference Center received a grant for $300,000 to expand camp dining by making improvements to their dining room and kitchen. The Columbia River Maritime Museum received $383,000 for historic vessel restoration and Craft 3 received $234.000 to hire new lending staff.
In all, the winter grants went to 29 organizations in Oregon totaling more than $6.5 million Since its founding the Murdock Trust has awarded nearly 7500 grants to nonprofits serving the Pacific Northwest totaling $1.13 billion.
