Firdaus Kharas, an India-born entrepreneur and thought leader, has been appointed as an officer of the Order of Canada, one of the country's highest honours, for advancing social change through human-centred media.
In a notice posted to the Canada Gazette, the federal government said Turpel-Lafond's appointment to the Order of Canada was terminated "at her individual request."
