Erwin Orchards in Lyon Township remains attractive to developers undeterred by the pandemic and previous denials.
Lombardo Homes has submitted a new plan to put 161 homes, an event venue and a tasting room on the Erwin Orchards property in Lyon Township, while keeping the cider mill and a portion of the orchards.
The planning commission will be presented with a conceptual plan for Orchards Crossing, a planned development on 181 acres, at its April 26 meeting.
This plan differs significantly from a previously controversial project offered for the property, which was called a crappy plan and ultimately denied by the township board.
