Today in the bays stephry chuang with the aftermath left behind. This was a serious fire, steph. Reporter its serious because it gutted the house. Were here off little patch road and north third street. It dead ends so no traffic impact. It was reported, this fire at a onestory home at around 2 35 this morning. The fire itself took maybe 20 minutes. The problem was there were downed power lines when the firefighters got here and that delayed the ability to actually go and attack the s
Inside right now, one guy who will board it up and another a fire investigator trying to figure out what happened. Thankfully, there was no one inside. Listen to what made the fire more difficult. Neighbors shared this video with us from our cell phone. You can hear the crackling of the downed power lines. Firefighters said this is what made it more difficult when they got here around 2 30 and couldnt access the house due to those lines and also a gas leak. Firefighters trying to determine the exact cause and whether it was set intentionally. This house did have power going to it initially when they would have been in the house. They wld have had access to electric when they were needed it. There didnt seem to be any candles or anything that caused it. Again, our investigator will check it out. In restaurant news: the UK restaurant market is expected to grow by almost a third this year, a report finds test and trace data from restaurants was barely used, and hospitality in Texas reopens at full capacity.
Value of UK restaurant sector expected to grow by a third: According to its latest report, analyst Lumina Intelligence has forecast that the UK restaurant market will increase by 32.1% to £11.7 billion this year. It follows a tough year in 2020 which saw the sector contract by 53.1% to £8.9bn. Its predictions are based on the current roadmap to recovery, which sees all restrictions on social contact removed by 21 June.
