The police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested the prime suspect in the killing of an eight-year-old boy during a robbery in Pakhtunabad.
According to the police, Abdul Khalil, the suspect and his accomplices broke into a house in Pakhtunabad and shot dead eight-year-old Salman while injuring a man, identified as Ibrahim. The perpetrators took away with a mobile phone and cash from the house.
The FIR of the incident was registered at Manghopir Police Station on the complaint of the deceased s uncle, Shaukat, under Sections 394, 396 and 397 read with 34 [pertaining to voluntarily causing hurt during a robbery, dacoity with murder and attempt to cause murder or grevious hurt during a robbery by a group of persons] of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The police booked on Tuesday at least 270 persons on charges of attack on police, rioting, firing, damaging police mobile, attack on police stations and beating cops, in connection with protests staged by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan for the second consecutive day.
As riots gripped different areas of the city and sit-in resulted in logjams, the Kharadar Police arrested and book 21 persons for attacking police and a mobile on MA Jinnah Road and rioting.
