Florida reported an additional 3,590 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Of the latest cases, 898 were reported in Central Florida. The state also reported 71 virus-related deaths on Friday, including 18 in Central Florida. As of Friday, the state’s total virus-related death toll is now 36,719. The two topics on everyone’s minds: vaccinations for kids and the current mask mandate that is in effect until July 1. © Provided by WFTV Orlando Some MAC members were for zero masks, others thought them necessary only for outdoor recess and another member said it was too soon to make a decision. For now, Orange County’s Superintendent Barbra Jenkins decided to leave the mask mandate in place and make a decision about the fall semester in June or July.
