An Australian journalist has been pushed to the side after attempting to question Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin in the wake of a heated Senate inquiry.
Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin has been grilled by Senators over the major network outage caused by a "routine software upgrade" which left millions without internet for over 14 hours last Wednesday.
The chief executive of Optus has defended the telco’s response to alerting customers of its nationwide outage on Wednesday, saying notifications had been relayed on the company s website.
Optus has confirmed it will consider all possible measures to compensate customers impacted by its nationwide outage on Wednesday, but stressed its current priority is to get services up and running.
