New Delhi [India], April 16 (ANI/NewsVoir): Optiemus Infracom Limited, leading telecommunications enterprise today announced the completion of the acquisition of 27,60,000 (Twenty Seven Lakh Sixty Thousand) Equity shares (19.91 per cent of the total share capital) of Optiemus Electronics Limited, Subsidiary and Joint Venture Company, by way of transfer from Wistron Corporation.
Optiemus Infracom Limited already holds 80.09 per cent of the total equity share capital of Optiemus Electronics Limited. Earlier on December 18th, 2020, the Board of Directors of the Company considered and approved the decision to strengthen ownership and control. After the acquisition (19.91 per cent), OEL has become Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom Limited.

Taiwan’s Wistron, the world’s second largest contract manufacturer, entered India in 2015 by forming the joint entity with Optiemus.

Electronics contract manufacturer Optiemus Infracom on Friday announced completion of sale of one of its real estate assets in Noida for Rs 285 crore, which it plans to invest in expansion of mobile phone production business. Optiemus is one of 16 entities whose proposal under the PLI scheme has been approved by the government. The PLI scheme for large-scale electronics manufacturing was notified on April 1, 2020. .this is to inform you that after obtaining approvals from shareholders and other concerned authorities, the execution of sale and transfer of land together with structures/building of the company.has been completed on March 04, 2021 for a total consideration of Rs 285 crore, Optiemus Infracom said in a regulatory filing.

The Board of Directors of Optiemus Infracom Limited in its meeting held today i.e. on Friday, December 18, 2020 has considered and approved purchase of 27,60,000 (Twenty Seven Lakh Sixty Thousand) Equity shares (19.91% of the total share capital) of M/s. Optiemus Electronics Limited, Subsidiary and Joint Venture Company, by way of transfer from M/s. Wistron Corporation and enter into Share Purchase Agreement in this regard.
Optiemus Infracom Limited already holds 80.09% of the share capital of Optiemus Electronics Limited, therefore, to strengthen its ownership and control, the management has taken this decision.
