The Palmetto Plant, spanning over 168,000 sq. ft., will address the market demand for 5G, FTTx, and rural broadband connectivity. It will specialise in future-ready optical solutions, including high fiber count cables with smaller diameters. STL said the plant will also have an emphasis on high-capacity ribbonised cables and ruggedised designs for rural deployments.
