anybody that comes into the dmv to get a license. and yet we ve created an opt-in system in many states around the country. make it opt-out, meaning the simultaneous component of that law actually becomes real. make it an opt-out system where everybody is automatically registered as soon as they come into the dmv. if they want to opt out later, they can. another thing that they can do, we have all these federal aid programs that are administered through the states like medicare and medicaid and various other programs. use the administrative data from those programs and release them to the states so they can automatically register those people to vote as well. that s the only one within the purview of the president. he can order states not to limit access to absentee ballots, not to limit access to early voting. certainly we are in unprecedented times. we are still in the midst of a global pandemic.
