As Rajasthan has already crossed the mark of two lakh active cases, over 7 lakh patients in the state have been identified with the symptoms of fever, cold and cough during door-to-door campaign and medicines are being provided to them, said Secretary, medical and health, Siddharth Mahajan.
If the same rate of infection continues in Rajasthan, the Covid cases shall double in 26 days, said Mahajan during the Covid review meeting held on Monday night which was chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Door to door survey is being done to check the infection spread in villages too, he added further.
Speaking on the occasion, Gehlot called MLAs and Panchayat Raj representatives to jointly ensure strict implementation of the lockdown to break the chain of coronavirus.

The 69-year-old Congress leader had isolated himself on Wednesday after his wife Sunita had tested positive. My Covid-19 test report too came positive today. I have no symptoms, and I am feeling fine. I will continue working while in isolation, following Covid-19 protocols, the chief minister said in a tweet in Hindi.

Held by the Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau for allegedly seeking sexual favour from a rape survivor for taking action in cases lodged by her, the BJP demanded strict action against police officer Kailash Bohra.
Calling it a shameful incident, the issue was raised by the Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore during the zero hour through an adjournment motion.
Rathore said the officer was facing a CBI inquiry in a case and despite that, he was given posting in the special investigation unit for crimes against women.
