Nuclear energy has been included in the country's green taxonomy, also known as K-taxonomy, a classification system establishing a list of economic activities that contribute to environmental goals. The Ministry of Environment Tuesday announced that it is officially declaring nuclear power generation as an "eco-friendly economic activity" in its first draft of the green taxonomy framework.

North Korea s new nuclear posture

North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) passed a new law regarding its nuclear posture. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in his speech at an Assembly session elucidated the law Sept. 8, saying that his country would launch an "automatic" and "immediate" nuclear strike if it is attacked by "hostile forces."

The government has finally set about to reform the four major public pensions. In a policy briefing to President Yoon Suk-yeol last Friday, the Ministry of Health and Welfare said it would integrate the national pension with the three occupational pensions - for public servants, veterans and teachers. It will then link them to the basic pension for people aged 65 and older.
