Our hearts hurts : Merritt RCMP respond to young man who killed himself outside their detachment
Merritt RCMP released a statement on Tuesday, just over a week after a young man killed himself outside their detachment.
According Operations Non-Commissioned Officer Sgt. Josh Roda, the entire detachment was grieving following the man s death on Dec. 5. He called the major event, which occurred in the Rotary Parking lot adjacent to the police building, tragic. Sadly a young man lost his life and our officers had to bear witness to this situation as it rapidly evolved, wrote Roda. Our hearts hurt with his family and we hope that tragic incidents like this encourage people to reach out for help before it’s too late.
