ALBANY, N.Y. â Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy confirmed an additional COVID-19-related death during his Wednesday morning press briefing.
AÂ woman in her 80s was the latest coronavirus victim. The county death toll is 322 since pandemic tracking started last March.
Albany County saw 69 new positive cases Wednesday. Encompassed within the new cases were 50 who did not have a present clear infection source, 13 who had close contact with other positive cases, and six who are healthcare workers or residents of congregate settings.

The county has 1,246 active cases and 2,400 people under mandatory quarantine. Conversely, 183 cases have been cleared for recovery and release.
