A member of Russia-led troops has been detained amid an attempt to sneak into Ukrainian positions in Donbas and stab a Ukrainian soldier on duty.
The incident happened near the village of Chermalyk, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reported in an evening update on February 24. Not far from the village of Chermalyk, a Ukrainian soldier, who was on duty at an observation post, detained a serviceman of the Russian Federation s occupation forces who was trying to sneak into the Ukrainian positions, it said.
According to the update, during the detention, the enemy fighter inflicted a minor wound on our soldier, using a bladed weapon.
Three incidents were reported on February 13 alone.

Armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries continue hindering the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine in Donbas.
This is stated by Ukrainian members of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) on the ceasefire and stabilization in Donbas, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said on Facebook on February 17.
According to the source, on February 13 alone, OSCE SMM representatives were denied access to the sites they were planning to visit.
On January 2, Russia-controlled forces three times opened fire on Ukrainian defense positions in eastern Ukraine's Donbas warzone. Since day-start on Sunday, no ceasefire violations have been recorded.

The enemy engaged Ukrainian troops, using grenade launchers and small arms, near the settlement of Pivdenne. In the vicinity of Shymy, enemy forces opened fire from automatic heavy grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
Enemy forces also engaged Ukrainian troops close to Pavlopil, using UAVs to spot AGS fire. Another enemy drone crossing the line of contact was spotted near Vodiane. Ukrainian forces applied e-warfare tools to suppress the enemy drone.
