According to unofficial results provided by the Cache County Clerk’s Office, residents voted in favor of the open space bond proposition during Tuesday’s General Election.
Last Wednesday, the Cache County Council held its monthly meeting, and the Open Space Bond proposition was on the agenda. The bond, which aims to provide seed money to preserve historically open spaces in Cache County, saw overwhelming support from local residents.
The Cache County Council held a public hearing on Tuesday to receive public input on the open-space preservation bond headed for the ballot in November.
Results of the countywide Open Space Advocacy Committee’s survey sent to 1000 residents in May show the majority of Cache County’s residents approve open space.
