St. James Episcopal Cathedral, Chicago, Illinois, has acquired the 1958 J. W. Walker & Sons organ from City Temple, London, UK. The organ has been removed and is in transit to the United States where it will be restored and installed in the cathedral by Buzard Pipe Organ Builders, Champaign, Illinois. This project provides St. James Cathedral a world-class instrument while preserving an artistic treasure. Installation is expected to be completed in 2025.
Buzard Pipe Organ Builders has completed a new organ, their Opus 48, for Saint George’s Episcopal Church, Nashville, Tennessee: four manuals, 55 stops, 65 ranks. When all preparations are ultimately installed (including a 9-rank Antiphonal division) the instrument will have 65 stops and 73 ranks.

Saint George’s Episcopal Church is a vibrant, multi-generational Christian community. The parish ministers to 4,000 members, approximately 1,000 of whom attend one of the five worship services offered every Sunday. It boasts the largest Episcopal kindergarten in the United States, a phenomenal staff of dedicated clergy and laity, and a growth pattern which is a shining light of hope to the wider Church.
