BETWEEN Feb 8 and 11, notable shareholding changes included those at
Hwa Tai Industries Bhd, where Lim Kam Seng emerged as a substantial shareholder after purchasing 3.76 million shares or a 5.02% stake. As at May 31 last year, Lim held 550,000 shares or 0.73% equity interest in the biscuit manufacturer via RHB Capital Nominees Sdn Bhd.
In the weeks leading up to the Lunar New Year, the counter rose 63.9% to 59 sen on Feb 11 from its Jan 18 close of 36 sen.
Nadicorp Holdings Sdn Bhd disposed of 20 million shares or a 5% stake in
Konsortium Transnasional Bhd (KTB), paring down its holding to 50.8 million shares or 12.6%. As at July 1 last year, Nadicorp which is KTB’s penultimate holding company and the vehicle of Nadicorp chairman Tan Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh was the second largest shareholder of KTB with 100.8 million shares or a 25.02% stake.
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11): Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir has disposed of a total of 24.6 million ordinary shares in Opcom Holdings Bhd, ceasing his position as a substantial shareholder of the company.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Opcom said the disposal was made through two direct business transactions on Feb 10.
In a separate filing, Mukhriz s wife, Datin Norzieta Zakaria, has also ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Opcom.
This was after Norzieta’s company, M Ocean Capital Sdn Bhd, disposed of 18 million shares through the open market on Wednesday.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): The main index at Bursa Malaysia pared some of its gains at mid-morning today as investors turned cautious amid muted trading at regional markets.
Local investors are also awaiting the fourth quarter 2020 gross domestic product (GDP) data to be released by Bank Negara Malaysia on Feb 11.
At 10am, the FBM KLCI was up 1.3 points at 1,587.43. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,592.27.
Losers overtook gainers by 503 to 317, while 398 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 1.41 billion shares valued at RM853.51 million.
The gainers included Widetech (M) Bhd, PPB Group Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, RCE Capital Bhd and Ann Joo Resources Bhd.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 1.05 points at 1,587.18. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,592.27.
Losers led gainers by 443 to 274, while 731 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 2.97 billion shares valued at RM1.83 billion.
The gainers included Ann Joo Resources Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Cymao Holdings Bhd, Euro Holdings Bhd, Widetech (M) Bhd, Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd and Paragon Union Bhd.
The actively traded stocks included Dagang NeXchange Bhd, AirAsia X Bhd, EA Holdings Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd, Iris Corp Bhd, Lion Industries Bhd, Opcom Holdings Bhd, AirAsia Group Bhd, Yong Tai Bhd and Foundpac Group Bhd.
The stocks with positive momentum were:
Ann Joo Resources Bhd – up 19 sen at RM1.84
Prestar Resources Bhd – up 4.5 sen at 91 sen
The stocks with negative momentum were:
Advanced Packaging Technology (M) Bhd – down five sen at RM2.50
APB Resources Bhd – up three sen at 60 sen
Country Heights Holdings Bhd – unchanged at RM1.44
Fiamma Holdings Bhd – down 1.5 sen at 62 sen
