Bruce Power News Back to video In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India, Bruce Power has made a $20,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support preparedness, response, and recovery activities in India. “Throughout the pandemic, Bruce Power has been committed to supporting our local community and the province through the COVID-19 health crisis,” said Pat Dalzell, Bruce Power’s Head of Corporate Affairs. “India is experiencing a critical surge in coronavirus cases, with the country’s health care system stretched beyond capacity, and supplies running short. This donation will support the Canadian Red Cross in its efforts to offer assistance to those affected in India.”

It’s a common statement and one that was heard again as the Ontario Vaccination Support Council, presented Dr. Ben Chan in a webcast. The assistant professor at the University of Toronto in the Global Heath and Health Policy division, was out grocery shopping the other day and did an unscientific survey of how many people were following covid protocols. He says in the store he was in, 85% were following the rules Chan says 85% is terrific as a mark in school but “the problem is Covid a really hard marker,” and 85% just isn’t good enough.
