LANCASTER Dozens of people stood outside the South Glengarry municipal office to protest a new campground site on Monday afternoon.
Around 40 people attended the protest against a campground adjacent to Cooper Marsh Conservation Area on Monday, as smog from northern wildfires descended upon the region.

“This is the summer of climate change wake-up, and awareness… A lot of people just despair, thinking ‘what can I do?,’ but right on our doorstep we have an issue where we can actually use our voice – we would be complicit in the destruction of our planet if we weren’t to use our voice,” said Cornwall Coun. Elaine MacDonald.
