Bruce County is “in a pickle” after the amount it’s willing to pay for a technical expertise for the new EMS station in Port Elgin was made public, tarnishing the future tendering process.
When members of the Bruce County Paramedic Services Committee, led by committee member Luke Charbonneau, rejected staff’s recommendation to award the $140,000 general contracting award to Dawley Engineering at an April 1 meeting, it meant staff must now issue a tenser for the drawings, specifications and contract administration after showing its hand.
