Senior citizensâ units attract 325 applications Town clerk Larry Adshead reported to council that there are already 325 applicants for the long-awaited senior citizensâ units to be built on the corner of Thirteenth Avenue and Fifth Street. The building is to begin the last week in May and be completed by July 30. Although this timing caused raised eyebrows among members, Mr. Larry Adshead claimed this was the agreement between the Ontario Housing Corporation and the Headway Construction of Thunder Bay. The 16-unit building will rent at geared-to-gross-income, beginning at $28 a month. The apartments are all the same: living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. A person must be 58-years-old to quality.
