In a UHN-led study that used the app Manage My Pain enrolled patients saw clinically significant reductions in key areas that drive increased medical needs, potential abuse of prescription opioids and of course, pain. Toronto (March 4, 2021) - For the first time, an app has been shown to reduce key symptoms of chronic pain. A UHN-led study evaluated the impact of Manage My Pain (MMP), a digital health solution developed by ManagingLife, on patients seen at the Iroquois Falls Family Health Team, and the Toronto Western and Toronto General Hospitals.

Hassanein is currently associate dean of graduate studies and research for the School of Business, director of the McMaster Digital Transformation Research Centre, and McMaster’s SSHRC Leader. He will begin his term July 1, assuming the role from dean Leonard Waverman, who has led the faculty since 2013.
