Ontario's homebuilders and vendors regulator has fined a Niagara man and his development company $150,286 after they were found guilty of selling new homes illegally.
A Niagara man previously convicted for his role in a multimillion-dollar marijuana trafficking operation has been fined $150,000 by the provincial agency that licences and regulates new home builders.
As it marks its second year of operations, the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) said it is imposing administrative penalties on Ontario home builders or vendors who breach their legal and ethical obligations.
