Onondaga Nation School won’t open classrooms for remainder of school year Updated Jan 15, 2021; Facebook Share The Onondaga Nation School won’t open its classrooms for in-person instruction for the remainder of the school year. LaFayette school district officials announced in October the school would stick with digital learning through Jan. 31, and then reopen its classrooms. But LaFayette School Superintendent Jeremy Belfield has now announced that due to continued concerns over the surge of Covid-19 case, students and staff will continue with digital learning. District officials met with the Onondaga Nation Council of Chiefs, Clanmothers, and Faithkeepers before making the decision.
