HEATHROW has warned that flights may be diverted to other airports if queues become too lengthy when foreign travel resumes from May 17.
The green list is part of the UK s traffic light scheme allowing holidays to go ahead with few restrictions for British travellers - here is the latest.

When is the next green list travel announcement?
No definite date has as yet been given for an updated - and hopefully expanded - version of the green list for overseas hols.
But it s clear that biosecurity experts are keeping a close eye on the risk posed by individual countries.

RYANAIR is restarting their flight schedule to a number of destinations from May 17.
Last week, the UK government confirmed that holidays abroad can go ahead from Monday, with 12 countries added to the green list.

This means quarantine-free holidays can go ahead, with Brits only required to have a negative Covid test before returning to the UK and one on day two.
However just four of the 12 green destinations are open to Brits, with Portugal and Gibraltar the only popular holiday destinations.
In response, Ryanair has added another 135,000 seats for Portugal with flights from £9.99.

BRITTANY FERRIES is considering a brand new ferry route connecting the UK and Portugal by the end of the month.
The country was one of the few destinations added to the UK s green list, which was announced last week.

Also including Gibraltar, Iceland and Israel, most of Europe was left off the 12-strong list due to the Covid situation abroad.
With demand high for holidays, airlines and tour operator have reported soaring bookings, with increases as high as 600 per cent.
