DFA: Filipino fatalities abroad due to COVID-19 reach 1,009

The number of Filipinos abroad who have succumbed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rose to 1,009 on Friday after the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported 11 new deaths.According to the DFA, 28 more Filipino nationals have also tested positive for the illness, bringing the total tally of cases to 14,787, while total recoveries climbed to 9,294 with 22 new ones.
