KOTA MARUDU: A three-metre python suspected of frequently eating chickens from a chicken coop at Kg Ongkilan near here was captured on May 12

Firefighters here caught a three-metre long python inside the coop at Kg Ongkilan here.
Kota Marudu Fire and Rescue Station Chief Rony Sikawan said a 10.15pm distress call prompted five firefighters led by Dyiron Deris to the scene.

The feathery animal breeder, Laiman, said he was about to leave the enclosure when he saw something slithering into the structure.
When he checked the fowls, he noticed that one was missing while another was dead. He immediately alerted the fire station after spotting the slithery reptile on top of the pen’s roof.
