Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says One Nation is not interested in having Craig Kelly run for them at the next election.
Mr Clennell said he spoke to One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson after Mr Kelly resigned from the Liberal Party.
Ms Hanson said she was not interested in taking Mr Kelly because “she believes people should stay with the party they were elected with”, Mr Clennell said.
“Suddenly Kelly's options are looking limited, other than to run as an Independent,” he added.
Secret talks have been held between One Nation and Labor-aligned unions in a bid to strike a political truce, according to The Sunday Mail.
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson hopes to recharge her political power through the negotiations which could also threaten the Morrison government's ability to pass legislation in the Senate.
A source reports the party wants Labor to drop its policy of preferencing One Nation last on all ballot papers ahead of the Federal election.
Ms Hanson said, “the unions see a benefit dealing with One Nation and they’ve changed their approach to our party significantly”.
The fact of the matter is Joe Biden has ‘lost it’26/01/2021|8min
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says the fact of the matter is that “Biden has lost it” and he shouldn’t be in the White House.
“The fact is that he (Joe Biden) is president of America,” Ms Hanson told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“China will take advantage of that because Biden hasn’t got the backbone to actually stand up to China like Trump did.
“Trump put China on notice.”
