Vandana Gupta: A recent study by consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers said India has an overall clinical trial participation of approximately 3 per cent. About a decade back, clinical trials were growing rapidly in India but reports emerged of patients not being educated about the trial goals, the medication or their side-effects.
