Reward offered for identity of bloody attacker in Las Cruces shooting

Surveillance images show a bleeding man wanted in connection to a Las Cruces shooting.
UPDATE, April 16: Las Cruces Crime Stoppers on Friday announced it is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps police identify a bloody attacker from Wednesday’s shooting that injured a 26-year-old man.
While authorities didn t release the shooting victim s identity, they did release surveillance images of a suspect from a neighbor s doorbell camera.
The images show a bloody man walking away from the victim s home in the 4900 block of Calle Bella Court right after the shooting occurred. Police said the suspect was bleeding because he too was injured during the shooting incident.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, Las Cruces police were dispatched to the report of a shooting victim at a home on the 4900 block of Calle Bella Court. Officers arrived to find a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Onate High School, about one mile from where the incident occurred, was placed on temporary lockdown out of an abundance of caution. The lockdown was lifted before 12:30 p.m.
Investigators have interviewed several individuals and have obtained potential evidence in this case. The investigation is ongoing.
