As the [CVS/Walgreens] program has been implemented, most continuing care retirement communities around Virginia, especially those that are smaller than Westminster Canterbury Richmond, were able to get residents and staff at all levels of care vaccinated through the partnership, despite the fact that Independent Living was not supposed to be included.

However, over the weekend and yesterday, with no warning, CVS has cancelled their agreement to vaccinate our Independent Living residents. We are aware of only one other continuing care retirement community in Virginia that is in the same situation. Clinics are also being cancelled for Independent Living facilities in other states.
