by both sides there is a crisis here. something needs to be done, there is little to no agreement on what that something is. certainly in a divided congress that is not likely to change. the other reason we felt it was important to come with this specific lawmakers is the chairman of this committee really represents the tip of the spear and what we are expecting to see as a push to oust secretary mayorkas from the department of homeland security. they have already been pushes to say he should be impeached because of the high numbers and images we see at the southern border over the course of the last year. now that republicans are in the majority in the house they are going to continue to push that narrative. i do think it is important to underscore that this is an issue that regularly excites the republican base. we often talk about it, here, on this show and on our network. about how important it is to republicans to keep their base engaged. but, from a legislating perspective nb
