out so we will give you an update on everything else but this was an incredibly active seen today. s.w.a.t. team members, their cat armored vehicles were here, there were multiple dozens of gunshots heard throughout jersey city. reports of some of these gunmen running on the roofs and we now know that many of the schools nearby were on lock down and at 415 today, just about a minute, this jersey city will begin a systemic release of the students back to their parents, a very scary afternoon that is left six dead including a police officer. neil: do we know whether any students were injured? i have not heard the any of the students were injured in us. we know that at least one civilian was hurt and we do also know that three other police officers were wounded and sent to the jersey city medical center. neil: brian, thank you very much. we will have more.
least seven were mexican citizens. we have the report from el paso. reporter: at 10:39 saturday morning came the first calls for help. a 21 year-old white male walked into this walmart store in east el paso and unleashed a deadly attack with an assault style rifle. i hear boom, boom, boom. thousands of shoppers including families simply thinking of their back to school shopping list. filled the store. and parking lot. where the shooting started. there was people were running from inside the mall. and just screaming to get out. i told my mother there are gunshots. we need to go. and she just froze and didn t move. and i told her let s move. get down. shoppers took cover, businesses went on lock down. and first responders rushed to
right now. they re ranging from young children to adults with gunshot wounds and other kinds of injuries from critical to minor. so you re looking at this heinous, heinous act. and anna was saying that thee watched the video and you can tell there were going to be so many people deld and injured. so now we know, 40 dead, 48 in one hospital being treated. and here s the other thing. so there are so many people who are injured, so many people who have been killed, 40 people. and the process to identify the dead and to notify the next of kin will take hours if not days. and another thing that played out just to share with our viewers in the u.s., this played out about 1:40 in the afternoon. and local time children were in school. and the schools went on lock down. if you could imagine this as a parent, i certainly think about this and i know you think about this, not being able to get to

news from los angeles. salvador castro middle school where the shooting happened shares a campus with belmont high school. the classes are still in session but on lock down. each student did have to put their hands up or behind their backs and was searched for weapons. the 12-year-old girl was first called a person of interest. she s now a shooting suspect, the only suspect. so far we have not been given any evidence this was a accidental shooting. police have mow session of the weapon in question but have not released what type of gun it is or who it belongs to. as police noted during the news conference, most students with guns on campus get them from home. authorities have not speculated as to how she got the gun on campus. the school does not have metal detectors. they rely on hand held wands and
